Sharing dancing!

We performed our Irish-themed dances for a local nursing home. Martha took this photo of Susan, Faith, Lori and Valerie dancing Fisherman's Hornpipe.

Irish themed show

Stars and Stripes members are currently working on several Irish themed dances for a performance. So far we are learning dances to Fisher's Hornpipe, Cry of the Celts, Irish Stew, The Dragon and A Rag and a Fiddle. Our performance is scheduled for late October.

A touch of Bling

We are currently working on "Fisher's Hornpipe" from the Texas Dance list, along with a group dance to "The Dragon". There is an Irish themed exhibition in our future!
Kassie also taught "Giddy On Up" last week. She did a great job. The dance is lots of fun.

Double Toe Jam!

Five of the Stars & Stripes cloggers went to Waco for the Double Toe Jam Clogging Convention! The theme was "Footloose".

Summer Practice!

Stars and Stripes Cloggers are now at our summer practice site! Twin Pines, a nursing home, has graciously given us a place to practice. We are continuing to work on "The Dragon", which is a fun group dance. We have also been continuing to practice "Boot Scootin' Boogie" (Brooks and Dunn), which is a Texas Line dance. We have started learning another Texas Line dance, "Bit By Bit". It is VERY fast.

Clogging for the Red Cross!

On Saturday, March 13, Stars and Stripes Cloggers had a wonderful time clogging for the Red Cross Family Safety Symposium. The mall is carpeted, which is difficult to dance on. The carpet also muffles the sound of the taps. Susan was able to get 4 sheets of plywood for us to dance on! Thank you Susan and Dave for the "stage"!

Beginner Clogging Lessons!

Stars and Stripes Cloggers will be giving free beginner clogging lessons on Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m.. at the First English Lutheran Church on Main St.. Join the fun if you are in or near Victoria, Texas.
